Salary: Up to £24,000 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week, shifts from 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm

About Us

Peapods Early Learning Centre operates a group of five children’s day nurseries within a 5-mile radius, serving the communities of Greenford, Norwood Green, Hayes, and Perivale. Each of our nurseries is rated ‘Good,’ and we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional outcomes for the children in our care. About the Role

As a Nursery Practitioner at Peapods, you will work with children aged 0-5, creating activities that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Your role is to inspire and engage children, using imaginative resources to support their learning and development. You’ll provide a safe and nurturing environment where children can develop their social, communication, and motor skills. A key focus will be preparing children for their transition to primary school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stimulate and motivate children’s learning through engaging experiences.
  • Provide pastoral care and create a secure learning environment.
  • Support the development of children’s personal, social, language, and physical coordination skills.
  • Develop and use visual aids and other teaching resources.
  • Encourage creativity and curiosity through stories, songs, games, and imaginative play.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, nursery nurses, and volunteers to plan activities both indoors and outdoors.
  • Maintain strong relationships with parents and share insights on their child’s progress.
  • Observe, assess, and record each child’s development.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met during all activities.
  • Stay updated with curriculum changes and best practices.
